White washed and raw finished oak contrast with the deep colour of sky and sea. The materials and finish used throughout the coastal range give timeworn and comfortable feel, perfect for the modern home.

Traditional craftsmanship, contemporary production.
Each piece is carefully made by our team of skilled craftsmen from solid slabs of 'A' Grade oak.
Our small team of craftsmen work together to deliver the highest quality furniture.
We have selected a beautifully textured fabric in a subtle blend of shades to compliment the smooth grained finish of the washed oak.
The textiles are made just across the water from our workshop on the isle of Bute by Bute Fabrics.

Simplicity of shape combine with dramatic form
Photographing raindrops in rockpools isn’t normal for furniture making but this was the starting point for designer Kenny Donaldson when developing the coastal cabinet.
Kenny modelled the undulations of the rains interlocking ripples and carved them into solid oak. The 3 dimensional drawer faces that result make this cabinet a standout star of the coastal collection.

Comfort, style and consistency
To make the coastal chair we have used Cad design to define and perfect the flowing shapes. We then use our cnc router to machine the sweeping curves of the arms and form the waves of the chair backs.
The legs are hand turned on our lathe to create the beautiful wedged detail that gives simplicity and strength to the construction. Every chair is then glued, wedged, sanded and finished. Finally we upholster the chairs in the finest tweed.
The principle goal when creating these chairs was that they would be comfortable to sit. Not just during mealtimes, but any time. So when you have friends round for dinner, you are not all desperate to move off into the living room after the cheeseboard.
